Why this timer exists

PomoGrove started with a small, recurring frustration: pomodoro timers that forget. A page refresh, a laptop reboot, a dropped wifi connection — and a 25-minute focus session would simply vanish. For a tool with exactly one job, that felt like a broken promise.

So we built a timer around a different rule: the clock is the only source of truth. A running session is a timestamp, not a countdown loop. Every change saves instantly. The whole app works offline and installs to your device. You can refresh, close the browser, or lose your connection mid-session, and PomoGrove picks up exactly where it was.

Who makes it

PomoGrove is built by a solo engineer who uses the pomodoro technique daily and got tired of tools that treated reliability as optional. It's a small, independent product — no growth team, no ad network, no investors to please. Just a timer that respects your focus. Every support email goes straight to the person who wrote the code.

What we believe

The free timer stays free, with no ads. Ads are attention merchants, and this is a focus tool; putting them together never made sense to us. PomoGrove is sustained by an optional premium tier (cross-device sync) — if enough people find that useful, the lights stay on and the timer stays clean for everyone.

Encouragement over guilt. Every finished session grows a tomato in your grove. Streaks are there to celebrate momentum, not to punish a missed day. Productivity tools should feel like a garden, not a drill sergeant.

Your data is yours. Without an account, everything lives in your browser and never leaves it. With an account, we sync the minimum needed and nothing more. The full details are in our privacy policy — it's short, because there isn't much to disclose.
